We are pleased to announce that our very own Dr. Sturgill’s research was published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics! The Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (JCO) is a peer-reviewed professional publication, which is published a monthly basis. The JCO began publication in September 1967 and focuses on the practical aspects of everyday orthodontic treatment techniques and practice management.
Dr. Sturgill’s article featured a national survey of all orthodontists to assess various aspects of their practice. His research focused in particular on changes in retirement plans and practice operations of orthodontists due to economic recession.
Currently, Dr. Sturgill is working on two additional articles which are to be published. They are titled “CBCT airway volume as predictor of sleep apnea: A randomized controlled clinical trial” and “Oral appliance influence on weight lifting, balance, and surface electromyography: A double blind randomized controlled trial”.
