Often, your visit with the orthodontist is a simple one. There may be no need for an adjustment or the use of any tools or technology. It’s as simple as a quick look to make certain that your treatment plan is moving in the right direction. To make it easier to achieve a beautiful smile, our Virtual Care portal allows you to take a few pictures of your teeth and share them with us. We can use this Virtual Exam to determine our next steps.

Please submit photos of your teeth as shown in the following examples. Please include a set of photos with your aligners in and without.

Lower Teeth*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

Open your mouth wide and tilt your chin downwards toward your chest. Hold the camera so it’s perpendicular to the biting surfaces of your bottom teeth. Make sure your full arch is showing and then snap a picture.

Upper Teeth*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

Open your mouth wide and lift your chin as high as you can. Hold the camera so that it’s perpendicular to the biting surfaces of your top teeth. Make sure you can see the full arch and then click.

Front Teeth*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

Bite down so your back teeth touch. Directly facing the camera, smile wide and click, trying to get as many teeth as you can in the picture. If you need to, you can pull your lips and cheeks away from your teeth with spoons or your fingers to show more teeth.

Right View*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

Bite down so that your back teeth touch, smile and retract the cheek and lips with a spoon or your finger pulling on the right side of your mouth to expose more of your teeth. Take a picture of the right side.

Left View*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.

Bite down so that your back teeth touch, smile and retract the cheek and lips with a spoon or your finger pulling on the left side of your mouth to expose more of your teeth. Take a picture of the left side.

Front View with Invisalign On*

Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.
