All Invisalign® is not the same, it depends on the Orthodontist’s design of your case.

Our doctors are skilled at treating a wide range of cases with Invisalign®, even those patients who have previously been told they are not a candidate for Invisalign®.

INVISALIGN FAQ

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Orthodontic treatment can provide you with decades of straighter teeth. Improving your smile enhances the health of your teeth and gums. It can alleviate headaches and jaw pain (TMJ/TMD). It improves your appearance, which boosts self-confidence and self-esteem.

DOES IT HURT?

When you first start using your aligners, or when switching to the next in the series, your teeth could be a bit sensitive, but you shouldn’t feel any pain.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

There are many! They’re virtually invisible, and removable as you need to eat or floss. With no brackets or wires, you’ll have less worry about accidental injuries to the inside of your mouth.

WHAT CAN I EAT OR DRINK?

Anything! Because they’re removable, you can eat or drink whatever you like! You should know, however, that certain foods and cigarette smoke will stain your clear aligners.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

For most patients, a little less than a year. This, of course, depends on the complexity of your case and how well you follow your treatment plan.

WILL I NEED A RETAINER?

Yes. Your teeth will want to shift back to their old places. Most patients, however, only need to wear them while sleeping, and we offer clear, removable retainers, just like your Invisalign® aligners.

WILL I NEED FREQUENT VISITS?

It depends on your treatment plan. Most patients visit around every 10 weeks. But the appointments are quick and easy, and there is a Virtual Care option!

HOW OFTEN DO I WEAR THEM?

Take them out as needed to eat, brush or floss, or if playing contact sports. We recommend around 22 hours per day.

HOW DO I CLEAN THEM?

There are special cleaning systems that you can buy, but brushing them with a soft-bristled toothbrush and rinsing them generally does the trick. Know that some toothpaste brands can be abrasive and damage your aligners.

WILL IT AFFECT MY SPEECH?

Because we’re adding something new to your mouth, it takes some getting used to. Most patients don’t notice a change, and those that do experience it temporarily.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

It depends on the needs of your treatment plan. We do accept most insurance and offer flexible financing options, so we can certainly make it work with your budget.

AM I A CANDIDATE?

Because we’re a Diamond Plus Invisalign® provider, we’re able to treat most every case using the aligners. We also see lots of folks seeking a second opinion. Your initial consultation is free, so call us to schedule an appointment!
